Events DC broke out the candy and Halloween themed activities on Saturday, November 2nd where hundreds of Ward 8 residents came out to enjoy the festivities. Created with the intent to provide a safe environment to enjoy Halloween fun, food and treats, Costume Carnival has become a must attend community event.
Commenting on the Halloween fun, Ward 8 resident Jennifer Ashley said, “I bring my twin sons here every year, now they refuse to go anywhere else for Halloween. Thanks for providing the community with this event, it’s something for my entire family to do.”
This year’s festivities included pumpkin decorating, a haunted bus provided by DC Circulator, live music by DJ Flava of WKYS, costume contests, slime stations, horse rides with Cowgirls of Color, giveaways and raffles from Monumental Sports, and of course, CANDY!
We can’t wait to see you at our next community holiday event, Cozy Christmas! Stay tuned for a save the date announcement.
