Events DC hosted its annual Cozy Christmas event on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center. Ward 8 youth in attendance were able to decorate ornaments, play games, enjoy holiday treats and have Christmas stories read to them by the former Miss Senior Congress Heights, Ms. Elvera Patrick.
Santa’s elves presented over 400 gifts to youth while having their pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and Christmas music graced the party provided by DC Flava of WKYS, along with local Christmas caroler group 18th Street Singers.
Families in attendance also had the opportunity to hop on the Washington Circulator Winter Wonderland themed bus decked out in holiday décor. Thank you to all who celebrated with us, we can’t wait to see you next year!
