Don’t miss Jazz in the ‘Hoods, where the District’s vibrant and diverse culture is celebrated at this year’s DC JazzFest.
Jazz in the ‘Hoods is a signature feature of DC JazzFest presented by Events DC. Highlighting DC’s vibrant and diverse culture, Jazz in the ‘Hoods brings a stunning array of music, from the traditional to the avant-garde, to all quadrants of the nation’s capital.
The concert series also partners with local clubs, restaurants, hotels, galleries, and performing arts spaces in celebration of jazz in our nation’s capital. Not only was Congress Heights featured in the concert series — along with more than 20 neighborhoods — but for the first time in DC JazzFest history, the neighborhood was also the kickoff event for Jazz in the ‘Hoods presented by Events DC! Last Friday, residents from across the District came out to our campus’ very own Gateway DC Pavilion to enjoy a special performance by the Chuck Brown Band.
