Over 3,000 competitors represented their local esports scene and faced off in our nation’s capital to determine the ultimate fighting game region.

Red Bull Conquest is a regional, multi-title fighting game competition (FGC) that will crown the best FGC region in the country.

On Friday, November 16 through Sunday, November 18, the Red Bull Conquest Finals took place at the district’s new Entertainment and Sports Arena. The competition initially kicked off on April 28 in Chicago where the Red Bull Conquest travelled across the country, organizing Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, TEKKEN 7 and Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 tournaments. These Red Bull Conquest qualifiers, also known as “Rally events,” have crowned champions each regional stop for each of the three games.

These regional champion trios came to DC to compete in front of a crowd of gaming enthusiasts in hopes of being awarded the strongest Esports region in the country! At the end of the final day of competition, New York City came out on top as the champion with 52 points, claiming the title of “Top Fighting Game Region in the U.S.” Rounding out the remaining top 5 regions included, San Francisco (51), Los Angeles (37), Atlanta (34), and our very own gamers of Washington, DC (28) in the 5th spot.
