Who will be the next Washington Wizards star rookie? That was the question on the minds of Wizards fans at the Entertainment and Sports Arena on June 20th when the Washington Wizards hosted a live NBA Draft Party.
Over 1,500 fans gathered in Congress Heights to watch the draft together and celebrate the newest addition to the Wizards – Gonzaga University’s Rui Hachimura. Head Coach Scott Brooks spoke about the team’s choices in the draft and current Wizards Troy Brown Jr. and Jordan McRae were on hand to engage with fans.
The party was free and open to the public, with the first few hundred fans receiving a souvenir t-shirt to commemorate the event.
